Party Time? More like, Pantry Time!

The SO and I bought some new pantry items, get us out of a food rut.  Should be a good time, rice flour, kambu, benito flakes, that kind of awesome.  You know.  I'll post more as this develops.

Drafting it up

Guess who finally cut apart the Christmas Tree this morning?  It was me. 

I have been working through some drafting reference books (ie For Dummies) to improve my computer drafting.  Its been pretty fascinating in its own idiosyncratic way.  Its something I have had little formal training in and to be honest I outpaced my instructors at college pretty quickly.  Looking out at other people in my industry who have had year long and more classes on drafting for the theatre, I feel behind.  I'm pretty competent but not a whole lot more than that.  Additionally, I actually find the process fun.

Word Use

Wine Shoppe, where I work, has a pretty high turnover.  I have been there for almost 6 months and have seen at least 5 people start and quit in that time.  There's a lot of reasons for this, the pay is really only a little over minimum, some of the staff can be assholes, and people decide they have other places to be.  All that said I have gotten used to introducing myself to a lot of people, who I am, what I do, etc etc.  The part where this apparently messes other people up a little is when I say that I moved to town because my partner goes to grad school.
